Log cabins bring memories of simpler times here in the West. Here’s my brief video introduction to inspecting them. If you have a cabin, it’s probably a good idea to have its structure inspected … it can deteriorate in the weather surprisingly quickly …

to a friend...
A friend of mine died suddenly a week ago. Tom’s hawaiian shirts, sense of humor, and dedication to God are missed by many people. I just want to make this simple tribute to him, and to the great example he set for so many of us.

I went because a man I respect promised he’d introduce me to the ranchers, livestock owners, and even townspeople who have been “impacted” by the New Mexico Wolf Reintroduction Project…

"The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated."
That’s what Mark Twain said, and it kind of applies to me, too. A Realtor friend told me that he heard I was retiring. Well, the short answer is No. Sometimes I think it would be fun to live the retired life. But then I remember that I still have six mouths to feed at home. And I still have a house payment. Oh, and I suppose the utility companies would like to hear from me each month. But you know, I don’t really want to retire yet. I really enjoy what I’m doing. I get a kick out of seeing all the different types of properties we have here in southern Colorado. And I sure enjoy helping people figure out what they need to do to a house to make it into their dream home.
So, the rumors of my retirement have been greatly exaggerated.
